The challenges

• SOHOs/SMEs and residential customers in rural areas are complaining about low speeds.
• Fulfilling speeds in rural areas is challenging since rolling out fibre in such sparsely populated areas does not make business sense.
• RURAL CHURN is rising, not only due to cable competition but also as new entrants deploy fibre networks (eg, local communities, electrical power suppliers, etc).

How we solve it

By using our Hybrid Access Solution to quickly provide increased speed, KPN’s subscribers have become less interested in new entrants. This has given KPN more time to roll out fibre (or avoid the need to roll out fibre).

Results

As our customer is happy with our Hybrid Access Solution, they decided to expand this solution to 440,000 Dutch households.
